TAYLOR SWIFT SPOTTING LEAVING A PILATES CLASS with her UNICORN




At just 23 years of age Taylor Swift has been doing very well for herself. She has talent, monetary success, beauty and a very toned & envious body. Despite being in her early twenties the famous singer and songwriter works hard for her fit figure with various forms of tough exercise. Miss Swift was spotted just last Friday leaving a Pilates class in LA, wearing a super cute unicorn jumper. How this girl manages to look stylish after doing such an intense workout we will never know (as we never look like that after class!)

So what else does Taylor do to stay fit and healthy besides busting her butt with regular Pilates? At 5 feet 11 inches Taylor loves taking her pins for a run and tries to do one hour of running as often as she can. Taylor does not lift weights or do any specific muscular exercises besides Pilates, as she focuses more on endurance to keep her fit on stage during her high energy performances. 

Miss Swift is a southern American girl and loves to eat and cook, therefore she works out often so she can enjoy her food and not deprive herself. Taylor stays away from sugary drinks and the only liquid she drinks copiously is water. She also eats very healthily on the weekdays as she spends most of her time recording and needs to be constantly energetic. Taylor eats lots of salads during the week and yoghurt for a sugary treat.

THE BECKHAMS USE A 'TORTURE' PILATES TRAPEZE TO STAY TRIM






Victoria & David Beckham are one interesting couple. Famous for their quirky antics (among their sporting & fashion talents) they now have another eccentricity to add to the list; working out on a 'torture' Pilates machine! 

The famously fit pair were spotted working out on a Cadillac Trapeze (known to some as a 'medieval torture device') during their holiday in LA just last week. Posh & Becks booked a private Pilates class for just the two of them in a little gym called The Humble Abode. Photographers who snapped the celebrities called the equipment 'intimidating', however it is anything but. The Beckhams' have used the Pilates trapeze for several years and are hooked on this piece of equipment, as it tones virtually every muscle group in the body and boosts their Pilates workouts. 

Victoria Beckham first discovered Pilates in April 2009, after giving birth to three boys. Four years ago the busy mother spoke out about 'hating working out', however Victoria was desperate to tone and strengthen her stomach and pelvic floor. Hence she enrolled in private Pilates classes and began attending these three times a week at a gym, an exercise routine she still maintains four years later. 

Victoria is often spotted at her Pilates classes with David whenever he is in town. The soccer star initially teased his glamourous wife about attending Pilates classes, however once he saw her results from this form of exercise he decided to tag along. A source reveals that the toned couple were in a fit of giggles over how to tighten their pelvic floor muscles in one class! The successful fashion designer informed her husband that she was going to be firm in places she didn't even know she had muscles. We must say that Victoria looks very fit for her 39 years and for having four kids! 

The Pilates Cadillac Trapeze is a very interesting and dynamic piece of equipment as it uses leg and arm springs as well as loops to hang from and a bar for stretching (see photo above).

LADY GAGA RECOVERS AFTER HIP SURGERY with PILATES






After undergoing hip surgery just last month due to a severe joint inflammation and a tear in her right hip, Lady Gaga is recovering...with Pilates! The 27-year-old shock singer was sighted working out at Reform Pilates studio in Chicago just last week. It appears that Gaga is making quick work of her rehabilitation with Pilates! 


The Poker Face singer was photographed just a few weeks ago getting around town in a wheelchair (which was made of real gold!) but appears to now be getting back on her feet. The owner of Reform Pilates studio informs the press that Gaga's people "emailed us and asked if they could rent out the studio. Gaga scheduled private Pilates lessons for herself on two occasions. She (Gaga) seemed to be in good health. She was walking around totally fine. But her range is limited on her right side. She didn't seem to be in pain...she seemed to be in good shape" reveals the studio owner. Decked out in very unusual clothes for the eccentric signer (Gaga was wearing black stretch pants, a black T-shirt and barely any makeup) she seems to be serious about the rehabilitation of her right hip. 

Gaga is no stranger to being in the limelight. Her body is constantly making news headlines and magazine covers for being 'too thin' or 'too fat'. The young singer tries to ignore the tabloids and revealed some of her health & fitness secrets in a recent interview. Gaga exercises consistently; a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio, Pilates or Yoga five times a week. She does copious amounts of abdominal curls to keep her tummy toned and trim. 

Gaga also eats a healthy, balanced diet and swears by a 5 Factor Diet, which involves eating five times a day (two meals and three snacks). These five meals must fall into these five categories: low-glycermic carbs (low GI), lean protein, fibre, healthy fats and sugar-free beverages. Gaga is also allowed one treat day a week. The famous singer loves to snack on salsa with grain chips, turkey slices, coconut water, hummus and tofu. 

Lady Gaga had no choice but to cancel 22 dates of her US 'Born this Way' tour in February this year so she could undergo hip surgery. The singer announced this news to her 34 million followers on social media site Twitter (where else?) and revealed that she had previously tried to keep it a secret so as not to upset her fans who had bought tickets for the cancelled shows. If Gaga continues her Pilates rehab the way she is going just mere weeks after undergoing surgery, she may very well be able to decrease her recovery time (the singer was reportedly advised to take six months) and get back on tour.
